​​To advocate for the best interests of children in placement, or at
risk of placement, who are before the Court because of neglect or abuse

The CASA program recruits, trains and supervises volunteers from diverse backgrounds, who are appointed by Family Court Judges to assist the Court in promoting safe, permanent and nurturing homes for these children. The CASA program in Onondaga County is affiliated with the New York State CASA Association and National CASA Association.
